I am a mother of three. I struggle with depression and anxiety and so do my husband and my daughter. I also have Fibromyalgia. I was a waitress for 8 years. I have some college education. I loved school and have tried to go a few different times and I wish I had taken it more seriously when I was younger before I was married.  I have done whatever I could to work since age 15 mostly in the food service business. I have also done data entry and receptionist type work. When I was pregnant with my first child I worked in a dog food manufacturing plant. I don't believe there are many people that would be able to do that to make ends meet but I've always done what I could no matter how trivial the job seemed.  I have been in sales positions as well.  I've worked where work was to be found. I've also worked in a grocery store packaging meat full time. Anyone who does not believe raising children counts as work is out of their mind especially disabled children. I have also cared for disabled adults and elderly people for free. Most recently I delivered newspapers during the winter getting up as early as 2 am to go to the distribution center to fold papers. It was costly in gas and wear and tear on my vehicle but I did it until it was no longer economical. I have been a stay at home mom for just over  a year which is the most important job I have right now. my husband who works full time as a meat cutter and part time at a local gym. He has a degree in exercise and sports science and is certified as a personal trainer and really wants to get his own business going. I help him as much as I can but I'm not able to do much more.  I mismanage money sometimes when I have  really bad depression and I don't think clearly or when my Fibro acts up and I am in so much pain I do what I need to do to feed my kids if I don't have strength to cook we go out. I think we all do what we can for our families to make life a little easier and our friends.   There are 5 of us in our family and we live in a two bedroom apartment. We would really like to own our own home I really am trying to focus on my health so I can better care for my family.I have lost 20 pounds and kept it off in the last 7 months by doing 35 minutes of cardio exercise and light weight training 4 days a week.
We did well for a while now we are struggling again so it goes.  If anyone has any suggestions I am open to them.

Hi SusyLee, I can understand the physical pain that you suffer from. I also suffer from fibromyalgia. It can be very difficult at times. I hope you find all that you are seeking in life. I wish you and your family the very best. Take care.

To all my friends on aidpages thank you so very much for your kind words and friendship. When there's no one around to talk to, or when you need to relieve stress that would stress someone close to you out it is nice to be able to reach out in this way.

SusyLee I just wanted to say that you are doing a brave thing to put your story on Aidpages. It is hard to devulge the truth out in the open like this , because when you put your story in the open , any type of person can make a statement about it. Fibromyalgia is a hard thing to deal with and still try to have any kind of life. I know , because I have it myself. I hope everything works out for you . It seems like you are trying very hard to change your situation. Don't worry about what people say , keep on ! Lisa is right on with what she says above. I will be keeping you in my prayers. soulight

Hello Susylee, I am a mother of four. I also have fibro I know that it is difficult to raise children health and with the pain you experience everyday it is much more difficult. But we have to keep going. A side from fibromyalgia I also have diabetes type 2, osteoarthritis, asthma, and COPD. It seems sometimes the harder you work to get better the harder life becomes but we must push past it. I wish you all the best and hope we can talk again. Best regards, Lisa

Update. I think the greatest thing I've gained on this site is another point of view. Fresh ideas when all thought out and friendship offered from complete strangers. It means a lot to receive a kind word from someone when you are down and they are always appreciated. I like to think Every time I visit someone's aidpage a prayer is heard for that person. If you are not religious positive energy flows and that is no secret it is the truth!
